Sincop8ed Noize Foundation Hosts Rockalypse Music Workshops, Amidst the Pandemic

Monday April 12, 2021 Montreal - Canadian non-profit organization, Sincop8ed Noize Foundation, whose mission is to support, promote and develop emerging talent, hosted a series of six music business workshops, the Rockalypse Music Workshops. These events, which took place between February and December 2020, helped educate emerging artists on important music business topics including: how to write a marketing plan, how to set up a live-stream, the ins and outs of artist endorsements, how to get your music on playlists, common music business agreements, and more.

These workshops were free for artists and music industry professionals to attend, thanks to the financial support of FACTOR Canada, ROLAND, and the Foundation’s partnership with Long & McQuade, who has been supporting the initiative since its inception in 2019.

Due to the challenges caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, these workshops couldn’t have come at a better time for musicians, who could take advantage of these free educational events, and expand their knowledge of the music business. Sincop8ed Noize Foundation, who was recently awarded the 2021GreatNonprofits Top-Rated Award, was quickly able to adapt during these unprecedented times for the music industry, and transition the workshops to an online format, which in return, enabled artists and industry professionals from all over the world to attend.

The Foundation is currently working on the Rockalypse Music Workshops 2021 series, which will most likely continue to be held virtually. We encourage emerging musicians and industry professionals to attend these free workshops, as they are a great opportunity to learn, network, and connect with each other, even remotely.
